who is talyn? what is bars ova bars?

Talyn’s philosophy on health and wellness is based in holistic knowledge of the body and mind. She utilizes Ancestral Knowledge, Research-based Wellness Practices and Sustainable Training/Recovery methods to increase long-term functionality. Talyn first became a Fitness Instructor in 2018 while serving in the Navy, after years of Exceptional Physical Assessments. She hosted and facilitated Group Workouts, Physical Assessments, and Helped motivate Sailors in their Weight Loss Programs.

She began Personal Training after her 12-year Personal Fitness journey. She began with Endurance/Aerobic Training, branched into HIIT Training, Calisthenics, Strength Training and eventually went on to very Intentional Body-Building to sculpt the Body of her Dreams. After dealing with complications from a prior Military-related injury, she began to focus more on functionality, mobility and recovery. She focuses on intricate and effective movements that reduce impact, wear and tear of the body, but still ensure optimal gains and results.

Before establishing her Career she spent years educating, training and teaching her peers, family and friends. She has learned the intricate aspects of Sustaining Holistic Health. Talyn believes in is essential that one instills a specific mindset in order to achieve long-term goals. She has built a system throughout her journey that she is certain will Impact those that she works with.

She graduated from HCC in 2014 with an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences, TESU in 2020 with a Bachelors in Psychology, and Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in 2021. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has been practicing for 5 years. She has Self-Studied Knowledge and has practiced Herbalism and Holistic Wellness for 5 years.

With a diverse background, Extensive knowledge of Muscle Anatomy/Functioning and over a decade of Sustaining a Sense of Health and Fitness, she hopes to share non-traditional and holistic ways of nurturing and supporting the body and mind.

What does Bars Ova Bars mean?

‘Bars’ speaks to the term meaning:

a substantial and resonating statement, often used to describe the credibility of an artist’s lyricism or an individual’s knowledge.

The second ‘Bars’ speaks to several things, but most notably:

the ‘Bars’ we often attribute to fitness/or the gym, (I.E. pullup bars, barbells);

Prison ‘Bars’ (whether mental or physical);

and all other Barriers that we may face when trying to meet our goals.

Talyn strives to utilize wisdom, intuitiveness and knowledge to create a foundation and sense of Devotion within her clients as they overcome aspects that may deter them whilst embarking on this journey of growth.
